I've seen some mixed reviews about this product. First of all, I will say that this foundation is $14.99 for 0.67 fl oz. at my local Target. It was very hard for me to fork over that kind of money for a drugstore foundation that is new to the market and has some not so good reviews. I want to add that if you want to buy this item do some research because I know that there are some coupons out there for this new line. After I purchased it I found a coupon in one of my magazines, true story...
First Impressions: Love the glass looking packaging, however it does make the product fairly heavy. I found it very easy to match my skin color.
After using this product for almost two months I will say that I am pleased, personally. I know that some of the bad reviews online were people who didn't like the way that the product blended, or more so, lack of blending. I would be curious as to how they were applying it to their face. I tried it with my fingers on one spot and found out quickly this is not a foundation that one should apply with their fingers. Next I tried my Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (F80) Brush.
This worked amazingly! First of all the opening on the package is the perfect size for my bush. It doesn't take much product for the entire face and this brush does a fantastic job of spreading the product throughout the whole face and does a fabulous job blending. Honestly, out of the few liquid foundations I have tried it does the best job leaving an even matte canvas.
I have normal/combination skin and I have had no problems with excess oils or breakouts. This "souffle" feels very light on the skin and I would say medium coverage, however it does build up if you let it set in between applications. Be careful if you layering it on though, it looks a little more powdery the more you put on. The product stays on all day while I'm at school, but I do notice that there may be creasing around my mouth by the end of the day, but this might just be me... I smile a lot! :) With this being said, I just check a mirror periodically throughout the day and smudge the lines away.
Overall I LOVE this product, and it will take something amazing to replace my "everyday" foundation!
Stay Smart, Stay Beautiful
