You can find this masque at any drugstore, I got mine at my local Walgreens for $3.99. It is one of the more well known face masques and has been around for years. Now I know it doesn't look like much and it will certainly not win you over with elaborate packaging, which I'm pretty sure has not changed at all since I was a child myself, but this is my natural, at home, skin pampering tool of choice. All I do is wash my face like I would normally due before bed and then apply this masque over my entire face and jaw. You could just use your fingers however I recently discovered that I prefer to use a synthetic foundation brush to apply it to my face (example: the Sigma F60).
This masque is said to help dry up pimples, rinse away blackheads and shrink enlarged pores. I will say that I have normal/combination skin which can get a little oily in the T-Zone and this masque definitely dries up pimples. When you first apply the masque it is wet but it dries and hardens into a clay like material within minutes and when it dries up you can see where it absorbed the oil out of my T-Zone. It is like it is drawing out the oil and impurities from within your pores. It is quite cool in a very gross kind of way! Does it rinse away blackheads? I wouldn't say it rinsed them away, but same as any kind of cleansing, it helps. And shrink enlarged pores? I would say this is probably true if you would use it religiously, however I just use it when I need a little pick-me-upper. I find it very soothing and my skin feels very refreshed, clean, and smooth for a day or so.
I will say two things though... First, I LOVE MINT! If you are not a fan of minty things you will probably despise this product. Secondly, if you have skin that tends to get dry I would be careful with how much you use this product. It's main purpose is to dry out your pores, let me repeat myself, DRY OUT. I personally do not have a problem with this but I am a slave to moisturizing my skin.
LOVE THIS!
