Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover Review

Late last year I was in the market for a new makeup remover, and more particularly a good eye makeup remover. Being from Northern Minnesota and walking to school everyday the eye area can get very dry from the cold wind. Applying makeup everyday can just make matters worse which leads to a very irritated eye area. So I needed something with a little moisture to it as well. I had started doing some research and it kept leading me back to the Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover. 

Where To Find It: You can find items for the Sonja Kashuk brand at Target which makes it quite readily available. At target it is $9.99 for a 4 oz. bottle. 

Thoughts: I was a little skeptical at first. As you can see from the picture it has two layers. One layer being a water-like consistency with a lighter density and the other is a oil with a thicker density causing the two fluids to separate. "This fresh-as-water eye makeup remover activates when shaken to gently whisk away waterproof eye makeup while conditioning and refreshing the skin" When I use it, I indeed shake the bottle, apply it to a cotton ball and rub over my eye area. I cannot tell you in words how much I loved this product with the first swipe of my eye. It works extremely fast! I'm not sitting there rubbing my eye trying to take off my waterproof mascara meanwhile stretching my eyelid and causing premature skin damage for later down the road. It is also quite soothing. I find that it is the perfect texture after a long day. Now I will say that afterwards your skin may feel a little "greasy" but you must realize it's not grease. The feeling is due to the oils in the remover. I was reading some reviews online and some people didn't like this effect. With that being said, I will say that my eye area can get very dry and I did use eye moisturizer but after using this remover I stopped moisturizing my eyes at night because the oil made it unnecessary. It's quite nice, I feel like my skin gets a break from all the "treatment." I also want to add that I do not have contacts or have sensitive skin, but Target says that there is "no stinging, it’s ideal for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers."
