I cannot tell you in words how excited I was to get my hands on Birchbox. Honestly... I sat in my living room all afternoon on my couch facing the porch window. Approximately every two minutes (for three hours mind you) I was looking up to see if the mail man was on his way towards my humble abode. When he FINALLY did, I waited for him to deliver my hot pink box and walk away. No sooner did he step foot off of the last porch step I sprinted to the door and flew it open, jumped out onto my porch and proceeded to dash inside to see what goodies had come my way. I can assure you I looked like a little girl on Christmas about to get her first Easy Back Oven, however when I was a little girl I wanted the Creepy Crawler Machine... and I loved it, Thank you!
I've been following a lot of beauty gurus on youtube lately and the Birchbox service is becoming more and more popular. For those of you who don't know what it is, let me elaborate for you. Birchbox is a service which delivers four to five hand-picked beauty samples to your door once per month. Only catch is that you do have to become a member which has a monthly charge of $10. However, I do believe that these samples are well worth every penny. Not only does the monthly fee pay for shipping, but it also pays for the deluxe samples and the presentation. Birchbox has outdone any other sampling service out there with their packaging. It is... how shall I say it... simply divine. Perfect in every form of the word. Now I know that packaging shouldn't mean anything when it comes down to the product, but I know I am guilty, especially when it comes to makeup, of judging a book by its cover. Let me tell you... Birchbox has an elaborate, beautiful cover.
"So Danielle, tell me, what did you get in your first Birchbox?"
I thought you would never ask! Please, let me show and tell:
When One first opens up their monthly Birchbox package they shall see an intro card. On this card Katia, Hayley, and the Birchbox Team explain the theme of the package. For February it was all about indulgence. On the back of this card is a list of what is in the package, a description of each, and the price of the full-size product if you would like to go one step further to purchase after you have used your sample.
