Rave - Eyeshadow

I have three eyeshadow pallets that are my go to pallets every morning. I almost always use one of these three. I did an earlier rave on my Too Faced Naked Eye Pallet, then there is of course my Urban Decay Naked Pallet, and lastly, my favorite of the three, my customized MAC Quad:

What it is: 

This is a customizable eyeshadow pallet I made at the MAC cosmetic store. You buy the sturdy quad, an ultra-slim, stackable, easy to use, and fits compactly into your makeup kit quad. Then pick four MAC eyeshadows to fill it with. You can either buy the potted eyeshadows and depot them, or you can buy the eyeshadows in pan/refill form and place them right into the magnified pallet without any extra work. My colors are:

Why I love it: 
I love that you can pick your own colors. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my UD and Too Faced Naked Pallets, but there is just something about making your own quad. It makes it more personable. I also had a great experience picking out my colors. I bought my quad at the MAC store in downtown Chicago and the ladies working there were absolutely fabulous and a great help. I knew I wanted a brow bone color and they helped me decide on Ricepaper, a Peachy gold with shimmer (Frost). All That Glitters, a beige w/gold pearl (Veluxe Pearl),  was a given because I have never owned MAC eyeshadows previous to this quad. I knew I wanted a black and was going to get Carbon but the women working told me that Nehru, a Muted bluish black (Matte), was easier to work with for everyday wear. And lastly, Club, a Red-brown with green pearl (Satin), just because it's cool! It's got a dual-chrome effect when placed on top of the Nehru. 


I absolutely love the MAC eyeshadows. Their staying power is amazing, even without a primer/base. The pigmentation is perfect, not too little, not too much. I love all the different finishes and love that the color combinations are endless! I cannot wait to purchase my next one!!!
