Bash - Emotibombs

I regretfully feel I need to do a product bash today. It's not a terrible product but I was SO excited about this product when I first got it and sadly I am left unfulfilled. I feel like that kid who really only wanted thing for Christmas and then when they got it... it broke. I digress, I am by no means saying this brand is bad, in fact I generally think very highly of it and I'm sure later this month I will rave about at least one of their products, but for now let me share my disappointment on this one: LUSH's Up you Gets Emotibomb. 

What it is: 
An Emotibomb is an aromatherapy fizzer made for the shower. You place the Emotibomb on the floor of your shower and take a shower like normal. The water will start to dissolve the product releasing the aroma as it "lifts your spirits." There are currently three different scents all vegan friendly and the one I purchased was the Up You Gets. 


LUSH's description- "Some people are born 'morning people'. They can bounce out of bed on the darkest of winter days. These people do not need Up You Gets. If, however the snooze button on your alarm is your best friends, ease the waking up process with a hot shower and a fizzer full of grapefruit, lime, and lemon oils to get you going." 


Why I hated it: 
Two reasons I was excited about this product initially. First, I don't have a bath so I can't use the bath bombs that LUSH makes, sad day! Second, I am definitely a person who finds it very hard to leave bed however I AM a morning person, which results in me just lying in my warm bed awake until I need to throw myself out the door. I always find that peeling away the layers of warm goodness coving me in my slumber are easier to part with when I have something that I'm looking forward to first thing in the morning. I was excited one morning when I decided to try it. Now my first complaint is the aromatherapy claim. Take note, I am tall - 5'11 to be exact, but I could barely smell the bomb. Maybe because I'm taller and the scent diffuses more by the time it gets to my nasal passage, but the pleasant grapfruit, lime, and lemon was barely present. Besides my disappointment in pleasing my olfactory glands, the bomb itself really didn't last very long, MAYBE 5 minutes.


Again, I do not want to discourage any LUSH purchases you may be contemplating, and I would actually go even further to encourage to you try LUSH. I need to stress that this is the first time I am ever been disappointed. Their products are all natural, work wonders, and any correspondence I have had with LUSH employees has been nothing but pleasant.
