Rave - Mascaras

Greetings Gorgeous! Today I have another rave for you but it's... brace yourself... a Rave X2!!! Woah, didn't see that one coming did ya!?!? I wanted to compare two of my favorite mascaras for you today, and they are even drugstore. So here it is: Maybelline's waterproof falsies mascara and L`Oreal's voluminous million lashes mascara. 

What they are: 

Maybelline Falsies Volum'Express Waterproof Mascara which I own in Very Black. The Maybelline Falsies Mascara has a patented spoon brush and Kera-fiber formula that they say "instantly build 8x more volume without clumping." I don't know about 8x more but I do think that naming them after false eyelashes is pretty legit. The unique flexible wand helps to "lift and separate" to give the illusion of more lashes. It is also ophthalmologist tested and is contact lens safe.

L`Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara which I own in Blackest Black. This "revolutionary" collagen-infused formula with their patented "Millionizer Brush" amplifies volume and definition. This mascara claims to be a build-able formula that amplifies each lash instantly. Glides on smoothly and lasts all day while thickening and separating every lash for clump-free flake-free smudge-free look.


Why I love them both: 
The Falsies mascara I love for a couple reasons. I think every girl should try to find one waterproof mascara she loves. I try to wear waterproof mascara every day because I cry when I laugh, and I laugh a lot! :) Because it is indeed waterproof it is harder to remove at night. All you need is a good eye makeup remover, which if you have read my previous posts you will know that I swear by the Sonja Kashuk eye makeup remover. With a good remover it comes off no sweat! I think that it adds volume, lengthens a bit, and applies evenly. I really like the scoop brush and the formula rarely clumps with little to no fall out throughout the day. Once it dries it is there for the long haul! You can build it up but I wouldn't recommend it. You really only need one swipe, any more than that and it will start to clump the lashes together a little. I like to either wear one layer and be done or use it as a base for the Million mascara. The Million mascara I think has a good formula but more than anything, I love the brush. It reminds me a lot of the Covergirl Lash Blast (which is also a keeper). It has been featured in Allure magazine and for good reasons. The formula goes on evenly, definitely separates, defines and lengthens for lush lashes, doesn't clump, no fall out... need I say more?
