Bash - Foundation

Honestly, I can't say I was surprised when this product was a flop in my opinion. I was "growing up" in my make up collection and was looking to purchase my first liquid medium-coverage foundation. I was searching the counters at my local ULTA but being new to the liquid foundation scene I really didn't want to fork over too much dough for something I wasn't sure I was going to like. I was intrigued by Almay's Color changing foundation commercials so I though I would try ULTA's version of the same product. Needless to say, this shall be a Bash on ULTA's Color Instincts Foundation.
What it is:
A liquid foundation that has "shade-adjusting technology" in this Color Instincts Foundation by ULTA and will customize foundation shade to match your skin tone. I purchased this in Light/Medium for $12.50 (however now it's on sale for $5).

Why I hated it:
Main reason for my discontent/hatred is that I believe this product caused me to break out, and believe me my skin has that base covered without any assistance from outside sources! I thought that the shade was indeed right for me however I don't know if that was due to luck or the shade-adjusting technology that it claims to have. I thought this product was fairly lightweight but it creased terrible throughout the day. Definitely didn't have any staying power and had terrible coverage. I will say that it was easy to apply, blends well, and I like that the packaging is in a squeeze tube making it less prone to bacteria contamination as compared to foundations with large openings. Lastly... there is no sun protection built into the product. I have found though trial and error that I really do appreciate a product that can do multiple tasks, I find I don't have to spend so much time just putting the necessary layers onto my face one by one everyday.
